Go Action Fun Time

I have an announcement to make from my My friend Tony who has a new game out now!

Go Action

Fun Time is

LIVE at

Drive Thru

RPG!!!

Go Action Fun Time is a role-playing game recreating Saturday morning (or now late-late) action/adventure science-fantasy cartoon shows – only the kind you would actually want to watch.

Teen-age superheroes from across time and space have been thrown together as a team (in theory) to compete in a reality game show produced by chaotic and perhaps insane gods. These heroes now travel randomly through time, pursuing strange and crazy challenges given to them by the Producers, and perhaps righting wrongs along the way.

This is a table-top role playing game with dice and math to complement the story-telling. The game requires a pile of 6-sided dice (the normal ones that you use in Yahtzee or craps), the means to take notes, a few consecutive hours, some friends, imagination.

Go Action Fun Time is an open-ended, rules-lite role-playing game invoking action/adventure cartoons. You can play basically any character you want and have them run amok through any setting. Adventures can be played in one session. Characters can pop in and out without affecting continuity. And sometimes … dinosaurs.
Teen-age superheroes from the past, present or future – real or imagined – have been thrown together to compete (as a team) (in theory) in a reality game show produced by chaotic and perhaps insane gods called the Executive Producers. These heroes now travel randomly through time, pursuing the strange and crazy challenges given to them by the Producers, and perhaps righting wrongs along the way.
It’s just $4.99 – because Tony wants people to have a copy of the rules. These are very basic: no fancy typeset or watermarks, a few illustrations, all by my hand, some just pencil over graph paper. But this is all you need to start playing.
I decided to post this on my blog sense I am short on blog time tonight.

Update 01-02-2021 the Go-Action-Fun-Time-Basic-Rules--Deluxe-Edition is now available at Drive thur RPG click the above link.

Goliath’s Skull Found?

I have been going through some of my old drafts that remained unpublished I am currently goignt hrough and updating them trying to get them posted here is one of them from January 16th 2015 that I never completed until now.

It seems that Goliath’s Skull Found?

Really?

Yes Really? and that the Stone from David’s slingshot still stuck in the giant’s forehead?

I found this story while browsing across the internet I came across this interesting peice of news. However I forgot to post it until now about an interesting article about Goliath's Skull was found.

Now you might be skeptical on whether this is for real or not, however I am inclined to believe this is just another archaeological find that proves the bible stories are true.

But as always I will let you decide that for yourself.

As always Yours Captain Hedges

COVID-19 UPDATES in my neck of the woods.

Most current information as of Wednesday, May 6, 2020.

The Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau has been carefully monitoring travel conditions in regard to COVID-19.  First and foremost, they want to protect the health and safety of thier community and visitors to Shreveport-Bossier, Louisiana. As of this notice, the following measures have been taken: by the Shreveport-Bossier Convention and Tourist Bureau’s Downtown Shreveport Visitor Center and Shreveport Regional Airport Visitor Center are closed to the public through May 30, 2020, to protect the health and safety of our visitors and staff. The staff is working remotely to reach out to clients, event planners, business owners, and the hospitality industry to keep up with postponements, cancellations, and openings, as well as prepare for the time when we can invite visitors back into our sister cities.

Louisiana Governor John Bel Edwards took significant measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in Louisiana and has extended a statewide "stay at home" order until  May 15, 2020, requiring Louisiana residents to shelter in place unless going out for essential tasks, as one of the most stringent steps yet to stanch the “community spread” of COVID-19.

They encourage all consumers to follow the guidance of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, including the practice of social distancing and following stay-at-home mandates. If you are an essential employee who is still reporting to work, remember that many local restaurants are offering special services during these challenging times. Please consider making use of these options.

They will continue to monitor the situation and announce plans to reopen when appropriate. For visitor information and updates, please call 318-222-9391 or visit www.Shreveport-Bossier.org. You can also get updates by following thier social media pages on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/LouisianasOtherSide

However, things are changing every day, so please call ahead before you visit a business to be sure they can accommodate you.
