My Real-Life Adventures: From 2013 to Today
Updated: June 6th, 2025
It's Friday, and for me, that means diving deep into the creative currents that flow through my blog. My work now isn't the daily grind, but the exhilarating task of crafting and distributing free content. This website is a special place for all the stories and worlds that don't quite fit the traditional publishing mold, a true haven for my imagination. Much of what you find here springs from the gaming realms of yesteryear, and I'm currently knee-deep in the exciting process of redesigning it all. My goal is to keep a weekly rhythm, posting at least once, if not more, as I embark on a grand adventure: revisiting all my past escapades across time and space. That's what it's about this time!
My "Adventures of Captain Hedges" blog is the vessel for these journeys. It takes me through so many different types of experiences – some are real-life challenges and triumphs, while others are fictional narratives woven from the countless games I've either played or run over the years, including my Splinter Cell series and my Cryptid Hunter series. This blend of personal history and shared gaming lore creates a unique tapestry of storytelling that I hope resonates with you, the reader.
As always, this blog is a gateway into my fictional life in the future as a Starfleet Captain, or his ancestor, King Farion of the Cercle D'or (more commonly known as the Kingdom of Gold, or KOG for short), whose tales unfold during the legendary time of King Arthur Pendragon.
It's also about my current life and the affairs I wish to share – both the positive moments and the challenges.
Let's talk about my future self: born in 2270, he was famously regenerated back to a 12-year-old in 2312. Now, in 2370, he commands the USS Urland, an Akira Class starship, at a physical age of 70, but an actual age of 100 years old!
How did he achieve such a feat? Well, I'm currently sifting through my files to find that very episode. Many files are lost, so I may have to rewrite it for a later post, but I'll certainly share it when I can.
My journey through time and space isn't just in writing. I've got a collection of pictures taken of me at Star Trek: The Experience on various dates and times at ST-LVH, capturing moments from my Starfleet adventures.
And then, there's the enigmatic arrival: The Earl of Borg is born... (Yes, you read that right, twice!)
The Earl of Borg Collective era was short lived!
For those curious about the man behind the adventures, here's a brief look: My image typically portrays a brown-haired, blue-eyed, broad-shouldered, distinguished-looking man in his late 40s. As Commander Hedges, I strive to inspire confidence in those under my command by leading through example. The real me below!
My interests are as varied as the multiverse itself:
Martial Arts
Saxophone Playing: Earth-style Jazz from the 1920s, Rock, Country, and Blues
Cooking, Fishing, Camping, Wilderness Survival
Horseback Riding
Earth's 19th Century Wild West Era
Wrestling: Various styles, including Klingon, Greco-Roman, and Old Earth style Professional Wrestling from the 1980s and 90s television era
Antique Firearms
Antique Aircraft
Fencing: (Favorite weapons: Scimitar or Rapier)
You'll also find artwork of me as King Farion:
As Prince Farion (Age 21)
As King Farion (Age 45), born November 27th, 470 AD!

For where I'll be next, please see my Blog Posts!
I also have more recent pictures of what I'm currently up to. Guess what? I am no longer on Facebook; see my rant in posts!
It may be a while before I update the blog again, but until then, Cheers from Captain Hedges.
It's 2025, and I am updating the Blog for those familiar with my websites, as well as myself and creating some new adventures like the following
Yours for now Captain Hedges is setting in the captain Chair one more time where will he take us this time! Taken at Star Trek the Experience.
