The Harvest is here, and so is the chaos!

Whether you are new to the world of Zimrala or a veteran of the Monsters! Monsters! 2.7 system, welcome. You’re stepping into a realm where the strange is standard and the monsters are often the heroes. My adventure, The Turkey Monster Invades, is designed to be an accessible entry point for everyone.

To help you get the most out of this holiday havoc, I’ve put together this official Support Kit, featuring exclusive lore on the Tygerian "Coming of Age" rites.

I. A Beginner’s Briefing: Welcome to the Isles

Before the dice hit the table, here is the briefing:

  • The System: This adventure is powered by the D6 system.

  • The Goal: Your party of "Player Monsters" (PMs) is hired to save the Harvest Feast by hunting a legendary 1,800 lb avian threat.

  • The Locale: Hawthorne Valley, a volcanic basin on the southwestern end of the island of Achrox.

II. Famous GM Notes: From the Desk of Captain Hedges

The secret to a great session is atmosphere. Here are my "in-house" tips:

  • The "Gluck-Gluck" Factor: Describe the sound—the ground-shaking, bass-heavy GLUCK-GLUCK that rattles the windows of Hawthorne Castle.

  • The Crowd Effect: Have the townspeople cheering or screaming from the sidelines. It makes the players feel like the world is watching.

  • The Letter of Mark: Don't just hand out gold. The Letter of Mark is a status symbol. Let the local innkeeper treat the PMs like royalty once the beast is downed.

III. Expanded Lore: The Tygerian Coming of Age Hunt

As first detailed in our November dispatch, the Turkey Monster hunt isn't just about food—it’s a Rite of Passage.

For young Tygerians, reaching their 15th year means the Coming of Age Hunt. This ceremony proves a cub is worthy of becoming a "Tygerian Professional."

  • The Trial: Cubs are sent into one of six environments to test a core attribute: The Palace (STR), The Port (DEX), The Tundra (LK), The Ruins (IQ), The Swamp (CHR), or The Forest (CON).

  • The Transformation: This is often when a cub first masters their Beast Mode. By converting attributes into a Monster Rating (MR), they can attack twice per round—though the physical toll is heavy, doubling in cost each round!

  • The Reward: Successfully returning with a trophy (like a Turkey Monster feather or drumstick) earns a promotion to Level 2 and official status in Tygerian society.

IV. Monster Reference & Scaling (D6 Stats)

CreatureMonster Rating (MR)Combat Tips
The Turkey Monster1800Use the Gobbler Wail early to stun the tankiest player.
Harvest Turkey Flock12 (Base)Scale up by adding +5 MR for every 3 turkeys added.
Initiate Turkey15The standard target for a lone cub’s Coming of Age ritual.

V. GM Quick-Start

  1. The Hook: Lord Mayor Barry Hawthorne offers the bounty, or a Tygerian Elder calls for the Ritual Hunt.

  2. The Hunt: Track the beast through the valley. Use Luck Rolls to avoid Ebonweave Spider ambushes.

  3. The Final Showdown: The battle peaks in the town square or the deep Forest.

  4. The Feast: Success leads to the legendary Harvest Table and a celebration of a new generation of heroes.
