Hey adventurers!
I'm incredibly excited to dive into Zimrala our new world of Monsters Monsters RPG in which resides the Tygerian Isles in which my Tygerians live on them. I created them for the MoZ (Monsterary of Zimrala) during the first Kickstarter.
So now let me share my experience writing the new quick start guide for this captivating setting. The Tygerian Isles aren't just a collection of islands; they're the Guardians of the Unknown, a protective ring around the enigmatic continent of Achrox.

What You'll Find in the Guide
The Tygerian Isles Quick Start Guide offers:
An overview of the setting and its history.
Simplified MM rules for character creation of Tygerian Cubbies and simple fast paced gameplay.
A group of starting adventures, set on the Island of Tygeria one as a solo and one has a GMA.
Details on the key islands and their roles detailed below with new artwork form my friend Wayne Hudman and my Fiancé Angela Head.
A World of Mystery and Danger
Achrox, at the heart of the Tygerian Isles, remains largely unexplored, shrouded in mystery and teeming with untold dangers. This unexplored nature is the core of the setting, creating endless opportunities for adventure and intrigue. The islands themselves play crucial roles in protecting the world from whatever secrets Achrox holds.
The Isles: A Strategic Defense
Let's take a closer look at these vital islands:
I currently don't have a ll the artwork done for each Island, but here's a sneak peek at what I do have so far.
Tygeria: The heart of the empire, located east of Achrox. It's the seat of Emperor Earl's power and a crucial defensive bastion. More Work Needs to be dune on this island but like I said it's a sneak peek. Artist Wayne Hudman
Port Chrox: The only known outpost on Achrox, a bustling hub for explorers and adventurers, and the gateway to the continent's interior. It was a pirate haven taken over by the Tygerians. Used Micrsoft paint to create this. Took me almost 3 years to get it looking just right.
"Beneath the shadow of Achrox, New Tuslan stands directly west of Achrox. It is a bastion against the unknown. It is a sanctuary for those fleeing Troll World, from the Alien Invaders, it now guards a secret: a multiverse portal that bridges the worlds. On Zimrala, a planet of monstrous denizens, this portal has turned New Tuslan into an improbable haven. For monsters fleeing from Troll World, both familiar and terrifying, seek refuge here, creating a chaotic and unpredictable frontier." Artist Wayne Hudman
Thrívaldi: The Frozen Fortress
Thrívaldi, the northernmost island of the Tygerian Isles, stands as a sentinel against the encroaching chill of the frozen north and the ever-watchful gaze of Achrox. This icy realm is home to a diverse array of formidable creatures, from towering giants to fearsome dragons.
At the heart of Thrívaldi resides Isdis, the Tygerian Ice Queen, her icy power radiating throughout the island. She is served by the loyal Tygerian Ice Horn Clan, warriors as fierce as the blizzards they brave.
Amidst the icy landscape, a unique blend of cultures thrives. Gift-giving toymaker Dwelves, Frost Dwarves, and Frost Elves bring a touch of warmth and wonder to the frozen shores.
Thrívaldi is also home to the Yule Tide Family, a clan of benevolent ogres who celebrate the winter solstice with joyous festivities, and cannibalize the locals for thier food. Led by the formidable Grilia and her husband, alongside their mischievous sons, the Yule Tide Family brings bad cheer and unmerriment to the island, accompanied by their mean Yule Tide Cat, Jolkehiem, and their loyal Yeti henchmen.
This is also the home of Ken St Andre's Ice Dragons as well hence the giant Ice Dragon Mountain as it's lair. Artist Angela Head
Thimblethumb Isle: Northwest of Achrox, home to Storm Giants and their Thunderbirds, providing aerial defense.NO IMAGE AS OF YET
Thrasir Isle, situated northeast of Achrox, serves as a vital defensive outpost. Its primary functions include providing weather warnings, maritime defense, and an early warning system against potential threats originating from Achrox. Local legends speak of powerful storm entities, such as Lapearl Strommage and her Storm Giant Clan, residing within the isle's tempestuous environment. Artist Angela Head
Tresor Island the Jewel of the Tygerian Isles
North of storm-swept Thrasir Isle, and northwest of Achrox’s walls, lies Tresor, the jewel of Tygerian prosperity. Tygerian mercenaries, renowned for their skill, stand guard over this island, against sea monsters and pirates and sea raiders. It is a bustling center of Dwarven industry and trade. From Tresor, western expeditions are launched, and deep within the island’s mountains, Dwarven miners extract precious metals, glittering gems, and other riches. The exact treasures they seek shift with the tides of each tale. Artist Angela Head
Designers notes about Crafting the Quick Start Guide
My goal was to capture the essence of this dynamic setting within this quick start guide. I wanted to convey the sense of mystery surrounding Achrox and the strategic importance of the Tygerian Isles.
Here's how I approached it:
Highlighting the Unknown: I emphasized the mysteries of Achrox, creating a sense of wonder and anticipation.
Strategic Importance: I detailed the strategic roles of each island, showcasing their unique contributions to the empire's defense.
Port Chrox: A Hub of Adventure: I focused on Port Chrox as a central location, a melting pot of adventurers and a starting point for countless quests.
Accessibility for Newcomers: I simplified the core mechanics, ensuring that new players could easily jump into the action.

The unexplored nature of Achrox has a profound impact on the setting:

So most of you should all know, the Tygerian Isles, was born from the imagination and ambition of the legendary Earl C. Hedges Jr.,These are a beacon of hope and prosperity within Zimrala. This updated Quick Start Guide, once released, will be your gateway to exploring this dynamic and intriguing setting.
So what's Being Updated in the Guide?
We've listened to your feedback and poured our hearts into refining this guide, making it even more accessible and engaging for both seasoned role-players and newcomers alike. Here's what you can expect when the guide is released:
- Expanded Introduction: Dive deeper into the lore of Zimrala and the origins of the Tygerian Isles, I am constantly refining this storyline, based off Ken St Andre's RPG material for the game.
New Professions (Classes):

- Skilled in the art of persuasion and negotiation, Diplomats forge alliances, resolve conflicts, and navigate the intricate webs of political intrigue. Their words are their weapons, and their ability to influence others can shape the course of nations.

- Masters of combat, Warriors are the frontline defenders, wielding a variety of weapons and armor with unmatched skill. They are known for their strength, resilience, and unwavering courage in the face of adversity.
- Scholar:
- Seekers of knowledge, Scholars delve into ancient texts, unravel arcane mysteries, and master the secrets of forgotten lore. They are repositories of information, capable of providing invaluable insights and unlocking hidden truths.
- Artisan:
- Creators of exquisite crafts and ingenious inventions, Artisans shape the world with their hands. They possess a deep understanding of materials and techniques, capable of producing everything from masterfully crafted weapons and armor to intricate works of art.
- Assassin/Thief:
- Operating in the shadows, Assassins and Thieves excel in stealth, subterfuge, and the art of deception. They are masters of infiltration, capable of slipping past defenses, acquiring valuable information, or eliminating targets with deadly precision.
- Knight:
- Bound by oaths of honor and chivalry, Knights are noble warriors, dedicated to protecting the innocent and upholding justice. They are skilled in mounted combat, wielding lances and swords with unmatched prowess, and are known for their unwavering loyalty.
- Mercenary:
- Driven by profit and adventure, Mercenaries are skilled combatants who sell their services to the highest bidder. They are adaptable and versatile, capable of wielding a variety of weapons and fulfilling diverse roles in any conflict.
- Shaman:
- Connected to the spiritual realm, Shamans wield the power of nature and the spirits. They can heal the wounded, commune with animals, and call upon the forces of the elements to aid their allies or confound their enemies.
- Explorer:
- Expanded Tygerian Abilities: Unleash the full potential of your Tygerian characters with enhanced senses, shape-shifting, formidable claws, magical resistance to transmutation, and the powerful Tygerian Roar.
