UNLEASH THE CHAOS! Grim Iron League Announces 2025 Schedule: 32 Weeks of Unadulterated Mayhem!
NOCTURNIS CITY, GRIDIRON CENTRAL – September 1st, 2025 – The shadowy whispers have turned into a thunderous roar! The Grim Iron League (GRL), the undisputed king of brutal GridIron, today unveiled its ferocious 32-week, 240-game regular-season schedule for 2025. This season promises to be the most savage yet, kicking off with a bone-jarring primetime event on Nocturnis Cry TV, Channel 6, the very heart of the city's visceral entertainment, home to both the GRL and the Nocturnal Wrestling League (NWL), and of course, the cult classic Thursday Morning Rewind.

The 2025 Grim Iron League schedule, a labyrinthine construct of ancient rivalries and ruthless calculations, is powered by the city's most formidable data-brokers, the Blackwood Analytical Division. It’s a cosmic apocalypse of possible schedule combinations, all meticulously crafted to ignite the fiercest feuds while navigating complex factors like district availability, clandestine travel routes, primetime massacres, and absolute competitive ruthlessness. The Blackwood family, driven by a thirst for dominance, employs every dark algorithm at their disposal to ensure this is the best, most brutal schedule each year.

The Grim Iron League’s season kicks off with the league’s annual primetime bloodbath, as the defending Grimiron Champions, the Blackwood Ravens, host their bitter rivals, the Knights of Hedges, in a chilling rematch of the 1880s Grand Final. Expect immediate fireworks and a brutal physical battle as the Hedges seek revenge against the Blackwoods' cunning tactics at the formidable Gloomdome on Thursday, September 4th (8:20 p.m. NCT – Nocturnis City Time, live on Nocturnis Cry TV, Channel 6).

A truly historic moment will unfold on Friday, September 5th (8:00 p.m. NCT, exclusively on Nocturnis Cry Digital), as the Divine Wind clash with The Abominations in a special broadcast from the neutral-site arena in Zimarala. This marks the Grim Iron League's first-ever off-world exhibition broadcast, bringing the mayhem of Nocturnis to new dimensions, thanks to the Ether Dragons who control the multiverse portals and helped evacuate Troll World to Zimarala.

Week 1 continues on Sunday, September 7th, with a full slate of brutal matchups across the city:

1:00 p.m. NCT Window (Nocturnis Cry TV, Channel 6)

The Azatar Tribesmen vs. The Mindbenders (Hawthorne Family)
The Templar Knights vs. The Crimson Capos (De Costa Family)
The Silverbacks vs. The Salem Witchdoctors
The Gilded Ghosts (Goldman Family) vs. The Bayou Beasts
4:05 p.m. NCT Window (Nocturnis Cry TV, Channel 6)

The Stone Goliaths vs. The Shadowbourne Specters
The Thronebrue Maulers vs. The Nocturnis Gargoyles
Later that day, Nocturnis Cry TV’s Grimiron Night Live begins with a savage showdown as the Blackwood Ravens host the Knights of Hedges (8:20 p.m. NCT), a Week 1 rematch of the champions. Nocturnis Cry TV will televise one game each Sunday night in Weeks 1-30, promising prime-time brutality every week.

Kickoff Week in the GRL culminates on Monday, September 8th, with Nocturnis Cry TV’s Monday Night Mauling, featuring The Divine Wind against The Abominations (8:15 p.m. NCT), the first-ever off-world game brought back to the core broadcast.

Thursday Night Terrors will air exclusively on Nocturnis Cry Digital, kicking off its slate in Week 2 with the Stone Goliaths hosting The Bayou Beasts (8:15 p.m. NCT). Nocturnis Cry Digital will broadcast 15 Thursday Night Terrors games between Weeks 2-30 (excluding Blackwood Blood Feast night and including Hexmas).

For the second consecutive season, Nocturnis Cry Digital will stream two Grim Iron League games on Hexmas Day in Week 27, ensuring the holiday is bathed in blood and glory.

The Grim Iron League schedule features special international (and inter-dimensional) games, including the historic Zimarala opener, bringing the chaos of Nocturnis to new audiences. As part of the league’s unrelenting expansion, teams from the dominant conferences will be among the designated groups to play a neutral-site or off-world game each year.

The Blackwood Blood Feast Celebration will feature a tripleheader on Thursday, November 27th. The first game will match a pair of fierce rivals, followed by a mid-afternoon massacre, and concluding with a primetime clash to close out the Blackwood Blood Feast festivities.

The regular season will conclude with Week 32 on the final weekend of the year. For the sixth consecutive year, every team will be locked in a final, desperate struggle – unless they've already been knocked out by two losses and ceased play.

The Grim Iron League’s 16 elite teams will each play 30 games over 32 weeks. There are no scheduled bye weeks; only permanent elimination from playoff contention can offer a reprieve.

The Grim Iron League continues to use “adaptive chaos scheduling” this season to ensure the most exciting and meaningful games are available for viewing by the largest number of fans across Nocturnis, and beyond.

The Grimiron Post-Season, powered by the unholy pacts of Nocturnis, will kick off immediately following Week 32, with the ultimate goal being the Grimiron Grand Championship at the Sterling Silver Stadium. Only those elite few who survive the regular season with only one loss or fewer will earn the right to contend for the ultimate glory.

All regular-season and postseason games are presented on grim, unfiltered, over-the-air broadcasts across all districts via Nocturnis Cry TV, Channel 6. Nocturnis WhisperNet will broadcast Grimiron primetime games on radio and illicit frequencies, while Nocturnis Cry Digital subscribers will have access to every live Grimiron game, as well as exclusive 24/7 dark-lore channel coverage on the Grimoire GridIron Network.

Once each brutal matchup is announced, individual game tickets will go on sale immediately through the Blackwood Admissions Bureau, the Official Gatekeeper of the Grim Iron League.
