Whispering Ises G.I.L. Report: Week 2 – The Lava Flow Begins
With the Trident Trophy looming in the distance, Week 2 belonged to the Bluebonnet Volcanous Fire-Smokers. Coming off their Week 1 bye with a roster seasoned by ritual training and divine influence, they unleashed a level of violence the league hasn't seen in years.
Feature Game: The Smoker’s Debut
Bluebonnet Volcanous Fire-Smokers (2-0) vs. Silverton Razorbacks (0-2)
Venue: Flowering Heights (Bluebonnet Volcano)
The Narrative: The Fire-Smokers took the field looking like ancient deities. Zhurong "The Smoker" lived up to his name, pocketing himself behind the immovable Hino-Kama and launching "Smoky Long Bombs" with 2+ accuracy. The Razorbacks tried to charge, but Oni-Toro met them at the line, his Claws shredding through their leather armor like it was parchment.
The Turning Point: Pele’s Fury executed a perfect blitz, using Strip Ball to pop the pigskin loose from the Razorbacks' lead rusher before Sun Wukong dodged through three defenders to snag the ball and phase into the end zone.
Final Score: Fire-Smokers 45, Razorbacks 0.
Round-Robin Results: The Top Four March On
The heavyweights continue to play "Giant Killer" as they feast on the rest of the Isles to keep their 18-0 dreams alive.
Swan Knights (2-0) vs. Goat Tribe (0-2): At The Hedges Bowl, the Knights played a clinical game of keep-away. The Scapegoats never even touched the ball in the second half. Final: 35-0.
Bengali Tigers (2-0) vs. Durell Rotters (0-2): A brutal match at Kings Port Arena. The Tigers' Tiger Force discipline overcame the Rotters' Frenzy. While the Rotters looked for blood, the Tigers looked for the goal line. Final: 28-7.
Stone Goliaths (2-0) vs. Moon Elves (0-2): The Elves' speed was useless against the Goliaths' Stand Firm front at The Living Crag. It was a slow, crushing victory. Final: 21-3.
Mid-Tier & Underrealm Results
Azatar Tribe (2-0) vs. Mist Haven Mariners (0-2): The Tribe remains secure in the 5th spot, utilizing the high-plains winds to frustrate the Mariners' passing game. Final: 17-10.
Rock Island Juggernauts (1-1) vs. Blackwood Ravens (1-1): The most competitive game of the week. The Ravens' aerial attack finally found a rhythm, but the Juggernauts' armored defense held strong at the goal line. Final: 14-14 (Draw).
Shadowborne Specters (1-0): WEEK 2 BYE. The Necromancers spent the week in the mists, observing the "Lava Flow" of the Fire-Smokers and preparing their ethereal counters.
