3 AM Whispers: Preparing for the Day Ahead
Good morning, everyone. It’s Friday morning, 3 AM here at the cypress swamp cabin overlooking the Red River in Shreveport, Louisiana. The bayou is hushed, a deep, resonant quiet that always feels especially profound right before dawn.
Today's shaping up to be a busy one, with a lot on the agenda, including keeping an eye on the uncles as we head off on a little adventure. It's in these quiet pre-dawn hours that I find myself gathering my thoughts, preparing for the day's tasks, and simply appreciating this peaceful solitude before the bustling hours begin.
It reminds me of the importance of finding strength and calm before stepping into a day that demands much of us. It brings to mind a powerful promise from Isaiah 41:10:
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."
At 3 AM, when the world is still, it's a perfect time to lean into this truth. Whatever tasks or responsibilities tomorrow holds, we don't face them alone. God promises to be with us, to strengthen us, to help us, and to uphold us. This isn't just a comfort for big, overwhelming challenges, but for every single thing on our to-do list, every person we need to care for, every step we take.
As the sun begins to think about rising, let this quiet time prepare your heart and mind. Carry this promise with you: you are strengthened, helped, and upheld by a faithful God.
I wanted to make sure I got this out to you all now, as I'll have a lot to do today and this might be my only post. Please know you're in my thoughts and prayers as I look after the uncles on our off-screen adventure. Have a blessed Friday.
