3AM Whispers on a Bayou Tuesday:
Good morning, everyone, and happy Bayou Tuesday! The quiet of 3 AM usually brings contemplation, those soft whispers on the wind. But down here in the Louisiana Bayou, some nights, 3 AM throws a curveball. And when a storm rolls in, those whispers can turn into something far more… theatrical. Last night was one of those legendary nights, a true Bayou Brawl that woke me and the uncles right out of our sleep inside the old log cabin.
The Nocturnal Wrestling League - WereTiger vs. Rougarou: Bayou Brawl! (Open D6 Stats Edition)
Forget the usual Nocturnal Wrestling League arenas. This was pure, unadulterated bayou, a swampy showdown under a bruised, stormy sky. The main event? A rematch for the ages: Bayou Earl the Weretiger against the terrifying Cajin Were Wolf the Rougarou!
The rain was a deluge, the thunder a drumbeat, and the 3 AM wind, oh, it wasn't just howling; it was screaming like a million tortured souls. It was the perfect backdrop for what unfolded. As Psalm 29:4 reminds us, "The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty." Even in that powerful, unsettling howl, there was a strange majesty, a reminder of the vast, untamed world that God orchestrates.
Tale of the Tape: Open D6 Stats
For those of you who appreciate the raw mechanics behind a true fight, let's break down our combatants in Open D6 terms. We're basing these on the agility of El Tigre de Setos and the brute force of Jacob Fatu, the Samoan Werewolf, adapted for the mystical ferocity of the bayou.

The bell, if there was one, was swallowed by a crack of thunder. This wasn't about ropes and turnbuckles; it was about survival in the wild. The howling wind was the crowd, the lashing rain the spotlights.
The cabin rattled as the fight spilled closer, the heavy thuds against the ground shaking the very foundation. We imagined Earl, leveraging his Shape Shifter ability, transforming to unleash his tiger instincts and using his Agility and Stealth to weave and strike, his Natural Weapons tearing at the Rougarou's Thick Hide. The Rougarou, in its terrifying Monstrous Wolf Form (Cajun Werewolf), in turn, using its immense Physique and Brawling skill, attempting to land a devastating Bayou Slam or a Lunar Howl Assault. The air is thick with the scent of wet earth, fear, and the wild magic of the bayou. It was a contest of lightning-fast precision against overwhelming, cursed strength.
Just as the moon, briefly tearing through the storm clouds, cast an eerie glow, the sounds seemed to crescendo – a furious exchange of roars and snarls, followed by a sudden, deafening splash. Then… silence. The wind still howled, the rain still beat down, but the primal sounds of the fight had ceased.
Who won? The bayou holds its secrets close. The morning light showed only disturbed mud and broken branches. But the whispers on the wind today carry a heavier weight, hinting at a legendary confrontation that once again rocked the quiet of 3 AM.
I wanted to get this out to you all now, as the bayou has its own schedule. I might not be able to get back online later today, because of looking after the uncles today, so please know you're in my thoughts and prayers. Have a blessed Bayou Tuesday.
Yours Captain Hedges as Bayou Earl "Tygerian" Weretiger Wrestler
