Captain Hedges' Midweek Musings: The Unwritten Pages
Wednesday, July 2, 2025
Good morning from the porch of our log cabin, right here in Shreveport, Louisiana, as the sun rises over the serene Cypress Swamp and the steady Red River. It's already been a morning, with Uncle Bill's arm hurting and my day starting early. So, for those of you looking for yesterday's thoughts, yesterday's postings will be going up today.
With Uncle Jerry still peacefully asleep for a while, and the immediate needs of family taking center stage, the hours simply filled themselves yesterday. It’s a powerful reminder that our best-laid plans often bend to the immediate needs of those around us, especially family.
Much like the brave individuals in the Tiger Force Shadow Saga who faced unexpected turns in their campaigns, or the dramatic shifts I control within a cosmic apocalypse, our personal days can pivot in an instant. Sometimes, the true "post" of the day isn't written on a blog, but lived out in moments of care, concern, and quiet presence. Just as the ether dragons guided the escape to Zimarala through unforeseen portals, we too navigate our days, often led by the unseen currents of responsibility and love.
So, for all the unwritten pages of yesterday, and for the moments that demand our full attention, remember that living fully is its own masterpiece.
What quiet moments of unexpected purpose filled your day yesterday?
Yours for now, Captain Hedges
