Sunrise Greetings Rise n Shine Thursdays!

Good morning everyone, and welcome to our very first Sunrise Greetings Rise n Shine Thursdays! It's a beautiful day here in Shreveport, Louisiana, and Earl has already settled into his favorite spot on the front porch with a fresh cup of coffee, ready to greet the day. The smell of sizzling turkey bacon and toast just drifted in from the kitchen – that's what's on the menu for this Thursday morning! June 12th, 2025

This morning, it was my turn to get up at 5:00 AM to make sure everyone was fed. Uncle Bill, Uncle Jerry, and my brother Robert were all ready for a hearty start. First, the hot coffee flowed, then it was straight to the eggs, turkey bacon, and toast!

A quick but important note for everyone in Shreveport and surrounding areas regarding the recent bird flu news: Please ensure you cook your eggs thoroughly! Cook them until the yolks and whites are firm to guarantee they are safe to eat.
