A Cosmic Wintermas: Troll World Refugees Arrive in the TYIS
Welcome, loremasters and citizens of Zimrala! Today we document a historic crossover event—a moment where cosmic necessity and festive spirit collided on the snow-covered roads of the Tygerian Isles (TYIS).
This is the tale of how a forgotten gateway opened during the Month of Rest, bringing legendary figures from distant dimensions to the doorstep of the Ice Queen just in time for the holiest of celebrations.
The Season of Gathering
The Tygerian calendar has turned to Pausha Lythari—December, the Month of Gathering and Winter’s Embrace. The long mercenary seasons are over. The renowned "Tiger Force" units have returned to their Isles to mend their armor, tally their ledgers, and prepare for the deep winter.
All eyes are turned north toward the city of Thrivaldi, where preparations are underway for the Wintermas Festival of Lights (Sheetkale Jyoti Utsav), a celebration dedicated to pushing back the longest nights with community and hope.
While the main trade roads were choked with caravans heading to the festival, a quieter, older magic was stirring in the deep woods.
The Awakening in the Evergreen Forest
Hidden within the dense Evergreen Forest outside Thrivaldi stood an ancient structure known to local Hedge Wizards as a "Hedge Gate." It was a relic point of power, tapping into the multiverse pathways controlled by the mysterious Ether Dragons. For centuries, it had been dormant, little more than a vine-covered curiosity.
But on the 4th day of Pausha Lythari, as the aurora borealis flared brightly overhead, the ancient stone began to hum.
The Exodus from Trollworld
The gate did not open by chance. It was an escape hatch activated to flee a "Cosmic Apocalypse" ravaging the distant dimension of Trollworld.
Stepping through the shimmering energy was not a conquering army, but a ragged convoy of refugees. Leading them was Radagast the Brown, a Maia and Hedge Wizard-God who chose to save the innocent rather than fight cosmic wars. He brought with him the "Lost Kindred"—pacifist Stone-Singer Trolls and displaced commoners holding tight to their few possessions and the red squirrels Radagast had befriended.
They stepped into the cold air of Zimrala, hoping only for sanctuary before the deep snows trapped them.
The Divine Escort
Radagast’s arrival had been foreseen by the powers of Zimrala. The refugees were met on the road not by soldiers, but by a high-profile diplomatic escort aimed at ensuring their safe passage to Thrivaldi.
Leading the group was the gruff and incorruptible Trade Sheriff Kaleen Whiskers, the Lynxarian lawman of the northern territories. But the true power of the procession walked beside him.
To ensure the safety of his creations, the Creator of Trollworld, Kenneth Arr'tth, manifested an Avatar—a towering blue stone giant wearing a cowboy hat and carrying the mighty Ban-Hammer. Flanked by a Waghoba White Tiger Spirit (patron of the Tygerian veterans) and allies from the Moon Elves and Dwarves, the "Troll God" personally cleared the path for his people.
Destination: Cryselle
Under the protection of gods and sheriffs, the convoy made rapid progress. As night fell, they crested the final ridge and saw their destination: the grand epicenter of the Wintermas celebrations.
Below them glowed the village of Frostholme, its massive decorated tree shining like a beacon. Towering above the village was Cryselle, the majestic castle of the Ice Queen, sculpted from living magic and ice.
At the ice bridge leading to the village, the Queen’s Frost Giant guards halted the strange procession. It is said that Radagast the Brown simply smiled, handed the lead giant a warm, freshly baked cookie from his magically bottomless pockets, and the guards quietly stepped aside.
The Saint of the Festival
The refugees were welcomed into the warmth of Frostholme. But the true spiritual heart of the festival awaited them in the village square.
Standing ready to receive them was the legendary Jolly Red Wizard, Gam-Dolph and his party!
A being of immense power combining the arcane wisdom of a Maia with the cosmic generosity and judgment of Saint Nicholas, he held the Liber Judicium—the Book of Naughty and Nice.
His presence ensured that those who fled evil would find peace, and that the Wintermas lights would shine brightly for all, regardless of which dimension they called home.
Happy Wintermas to all citizens of Zimrala and beyond! Yours for now Captain Hedges
