☀️ Rise and Shine Sunday: The Morning After the Brawl

☀️ Rise and Shine Sunday: The Morning After the Brawl

Shreveport, LA – 7:16 AM, Sunday, December 28, 2025

The first sliver of sun just kissed the horizon, painting the Louisiana sky in hues of soft orange and pink. The heavy, metallic tang of the O.W.L. War Chamber still hung in the air, but it was slowly giving way to the sweet, earthy scent of cypress and freshly brewed coffee.

On the porch of the Shreveport cabin, steam curled from four mugs held by a very exclusive club. We’d earned this view.

Beside me, Uncle Bill – still in his powerful Billy Goat form, the Axe of the Troll God leaning casually against the railing – took a long, satisfied sip of his black coffee. The early morning chill seemed to invigorate him.

On my other side, Pirre, the legendary Pure Werewolf of the Outlaw Wrestling League, let out a soft, almost domestic grunt as he savored his own steaming mug. His silver fur still bore the faint marks of battle, but his eyes held the contented peace of a warrior who had fought well.

And then there was our newest ally, the Hawkman, son of Horus. Perched with a natural grace on the porch railing, his magnificent wings unfurled slightly to catch the warming light, he raised his mug in a silent toast as the sun officially made its grand entrance. His keen hawk eyes scanned the brightening swamp, perhaps searching for new threats, or simply appreciating the tranquility that followed such chaos.

The air was still, save for the distant caw of a crow and the gentle lapping of the bayou against the shore. Below us, in the mud of the makeshift ring, lay the very still forms of the Slasher Vine Jungle Troll, the Snouter, and the Hogman, all piled in a heap of defeated monstrousness. A final, stark reminder of the 5 AM Smackdown we'd just survived.

The coffee was hot, black, and perfectly bitter – a stark contrast to the sweet victory. This wasn't just another Sunday morning; it was a celebration. A celebration of brotherhood, of hard-won battles, and of the quiet peace that follows the storm.

Rise and shine, indeed. The bayou was quiet, but we knew better. The legends would be talking about this "First Bayou Brawl Runion Match" for a long, long time.
