Hey there, Friends and Family A Tribute to the One and Only Uncle Jerry

Date: Thursday, December 4, 2025 Subject: A Tribute to the One and Only Uncle Jerry

Hey there, Friends and Family.

It’s a heavy day on the bayou today, but the sun is still shinin’ through the cypress trees, just like I know Uncle Jerry would’ve wanted it. As most of you know, we have to say our final physical goodbyes to him today.

I’m writin’ this because I want us all to take a breath before the service and remember the man for who he truly was. We ain't dwellin' on the sadness right now; we are focusin' strictly on the good things, ‘cause Lord knows Jerry gave us plenty of ‘em.

What We’ll Miss Most

When I look back at all our posts and conversations over the years, Uncle Jerry was always the steady rock in the background of our wilder adventures.

  • The Stories: Nobody could spin a yarn like Jerry. Whether we were sittin’ on the porch swatting mosquitos or deep in the swamp waitin’ on a bite, he had a way of makin’ you laugh until your sides hurt. He held the history of this family and this land in his heart.

  • The Heart: He was the kind of man who’d give you the last crawfish on the tray or the shirt off his back if you needed it. He didn't care about being rich or famous; he cared about his people. He made sure we always knew we had a place to call home.

  • The Wisdom: He taught us that it ain't about how fast you go, but about enjoyin’ the ride. He kept us grounded when things got crazy with our Monsters games or just life in general.

The Memorial Details

If you want to come pay your respects and swap a few of your own "Jerry stories," we are gathering today.

Programming Note: That’s it for me today, folks. I’m unplugging now to get ready for the service and to be with family while we mourn. That's why I got all my posts done early this morning—this is the last one. I appreciate the love and support. I'll see y'all on the flip side.

Rest easy, Uncle Jerry. We’ll keep the fire burnin’ for ya.
