PROLOGUE: THE GRAND UNIFICATION
For fifty years, we have been told that Science and Magic are enemies—that a starship is just cold steel and a spell is just hot air. On this first morning of 2026, we prove them wrong.
In the Leo Galaxy, we operate under a single, unbreakable truth: Energy is the Constant Source. Whether it is the thrum of a warp drive, the glow of a Moon Crystal, or the whisper of the Divine Ariel, it is all the same "Breath" moving through different pipes.
To navigate the Year of the Snake, you need a system that doesn't flinch. You need the Trinity Engine.
PART I: THE TECHNICAL TRINITY
The Trinity Engine is not a "mash-up" of rules; it is a unified technical specification. We have taken the three greatest pillars of gaming and welded them into a single machine.
Starfaring (The Body & The Voyage): Ken St. Andre’s original specs provide the "Hard Physics." We use the Starfaring construction rules for mass, tonnage, and Energy Units (EU). This is the grit of the voyage—the fuel costs, the logistics, and the physical reality of being in deep space.
OpenD6 & Starships (The Mind & The Skill): The OpenD6 Starships modular builds provide the technical precision. This defines the "Pips" and "Die Codes" for your Sensors, Shields, and Maneuvering. It is the "Star Trek" logic—the scientific interface that allows us to measure the Constant Source with clinical accuracy.
Monsters! Monsters! 2.7 (The Soul & The Kind): This is where the ship becomes a Bio-Monster Ally. Using Ken’s M!M! 2.7 rules, we give the ship a Monster Rating (MR) and a Constitution. The ship is alive; it heals, it feels, and it fights with the raw power of a living beast.
PART II: THE MANTICORE DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We built the Z.S.F. Manticore by looking at the "Greatest Writers" of Earth’s sci-fi history. We didn't just want a vehicle; we wanted a character.
The Star Wars Grit: A "Used Future" ship that feels lived-in, powered by Starfaring maintenance rules.
The Star Trek Precision: High-end OpenD6 technical specs for the bridge crew.
The Farscape Symbiosis: A living bio-vessel that bonds with its pilot via the M!M! 2.7 neural link.
The Battlestar Survival: Heavy Adamant-Scale armor where every hit matters and every Energy Unit is precious.
PART III: THE UNIFIED MECHANIC
In the Trinity Engine, "All Rules Are One."
Energy is Action: To roll your OpenD6 pips for a "Roar" Cannon blast, you must drain literal Starfaring Energy Units (EU).
Mass is Maneuver: Your Starfaring Tonnage dictates your D6 Die Codes. You cannot cheat the physics.
Life is Repair: Your ship’s M!M! 2.7 Regeneration consumes EU to "heal" your D6 Hull damage.
The Goal: Eventually, every K'fyr in the Leo Galaxy will use this framework to design their own "Witness"—a ship that is unique, technically honest, and biologically alive.
EPILOGUE: JAX’S COMMAND
Jax stands on the bridge of the Manticore, his hand resting on the warm, pulsing skin of the console.
"BAM. There it is, K'fyr. The blueprint for the future. We’ve combined the science, the magic, and the divine into one roaring engine. The rules don't limit us anymore—they fuel us. The Year of the Snake is at the door. The Constant Source is at 100%. Give the order. Let’s show the multiverse what a Trinity Engine can do."
