Title: 3 AM Whispers: The Harry Man vs. The World News
Midnight felt like a victory. Uncle Bill finally headed to bed, the cabin went quiet, and I settled in.
I was deep into Missing in Alaska, watching the "Harry Man" episode. It was the perfect vibe for the hour—just me, the mysteries of the wild, and the absolute stillness of the Cypress Swamp outside.
Though, let's be honest: sitting here at this hour, un-caffeinated and unshaven, the only "Harry Man" around these parts is probably me.
Outside, the bayou is respecting the silence. Nothing is moving. No wind, no critters, just a heavy, wet stillness.
But inside? The spell is broken.
Uncle Bill is back up at 3 AM, and the channel has changed. The cryptids and my quiet time have been replaced by the World News. The contrast is jarring—going from the silence of the woods directly into the noise and chaos of current events.
I have no idea what the plan is for the rest of the morning. The coffee hasn't even finished brewing yet. It’s gurgling in the pot right now, the only sound competing with the TV anchor.
With the schedule thrown off and the news blaring, the regular blog posts may be coming a little late today.
I’m going to pour a cup, shake off the fog, and try to wake up to this new reality.
