Daily Campaign Log: Year of the Snake Day 9

Captain's Ready Room Computer Good morning, Captain. It is Friday, January 9, 2026. 5:AM and the The cavalry arrived yesterday,

and today we see what happens when the Void Sentinels and the Tiger Force coordinate a counter-attack. The shock of the Star-Treader's arrival has broken the Ophidian formation. Now, it's time to clear the jungle.

Here is the campaign log for Day 9.

Daily Campaign Log: Year of the Snake

Title: Day 9 — The Hammer of the Void

Date: January 9, 2026

Location: Sector 4 Landing Zone / The "Dead Zone" Perimeter

By: Captain Hedges

The Counter-Offensive

Friday morning broke with the sound of sonic booms, not thunder. With Team Delta (The Void Sentinels) on the ground, the momentum has shifted. We aren't just holding the line anymore; we are pushing it.

The Ophidians dug in deep with Venom-Mortar Pits, turning the jungle floor into a toxic swamp to slow us down. They didn't count on the Star-Treader in orbit.

The Dragon from Above

The USS Star-Treader isn't just a ship; it’s a partner. The Young Ether Dragon nesting in its core shares a psychic link with the Stellar Cartographers Guild.

  • The Connection: Even through the fever I’m fighting here in the Shreveport Cabin, I can feel the pulse of the dragon in the ship’s drive. It’s angry. It knows these snakes are trespassing.

  • The Strike: At 10:00 hours, I painted the targets using the Scope of the True Meridian. The Star-Treader dropped low into the atmosphere and unleashed a "Dragon-Breath" Orbital Strike—a concentrated beam of violet Aether-Fire that incinerated the Ophidian mortar pits without scorching a single leaf of the native Tygerian jungle.

Clearing the Rot

With the mortars gone, the Green Tigers and Void Sentinels moved in.

  • The Tactic: The Sentinels used their Phase-Visors to spot the cloaked "Slither-Drones" hiding in the trees, picking them off with Thorne Carbines.

  • The Result: The "Dead Zone" is shrinking. We have retaken the Southern Wall breach. The Ophidians are retreating back to their drop-ships.

"They brought poison to a knife fight. We brought a dragonship that shoots holy fire. I think they're realizing they picked the wrong planet."Captain Hedges
