The Breach of the Sky
It is Sunday, and there is no rest in the Reach. After the infiltration of the drones on Day 3, the Ophidian Empire made their move. They realized they couldn't hold the portals indefinitely against the Ether Dragons, so they changed tactics.
They initiated Operation: Venom-Fall.
At 08:00 hours, the sensors at the Shreveport Cabin went red. The obsidian needle-ships in orbit turned their prows toward the planet and began launching thousands of "Fang" Drop-Pods. They aren't trying to dock anymore; they are invading.
The Dragon’s Response
This was their mistake. By entering the atmosphere, they entered the domain of the Ether Dragons.
The Dogfight: The sky above the Tygerian Isles is a chaotic swirl of emerald engine trails and dragon fire. The Ether Dragons, sensing the threat to their nesting grounds, are diving on the Drop-Pods, tearing the obsidian hulls apart with their claws before they can hit the jungle floor.
The Debris Field: Burning wreckage is raining down across Sector 4. It’s a mess, but it bought our ground troops time to mobilize.
Captain’s Log: I’m watching the battle from the monitors, fighting off this fever. The heat in my blood matches the fire in the sky. Uncle Bill is keeping the cabin secure while I coordinate the anti-air batteries from the console.
The Threat Lands
Despite the Dragons’ fury, about 40% of the Drop-Pods made landfall. The "Constriction" has touched the dirt. We are bracing for ground combat tomorrow.
