Sunday Morning Rising Report: The Coffee-Fueled Reset

Sunday Morning Rising Report: The Coffee-Fueled Reset

The moon was taking its slow, silver bow over the Shreveport pines just as the sun began to bleed gold into the mist of the Cypress Swamp. I’ll admit, the transition was a bit of a blur this morning, January 18th, 2026. I found myself caught in that heavy, liminal space between dreams and duty, and I didn’t truly cross the threshold into the waking world until that first cup of black coffee found its way into me.

With the warmth finally sparking the gears of my mind, I looked out at the morning haze. It wasn’t just Shreveport fog; it felt like the first breath of El Santo Oficio de la Niebla Eterna (The Holy Office of the Eternal Mist) settling over the cabin. It was time. As the Chronicler of my own Tale, I had work to do within the Leo Galaxy—timelines to prune, legacies to reset, and shadows to realign.

Being a Chronomancer means understanding that time is not a straight line, but a series of currents that can drift if left unattended. While the world slept, the Leo Galaxy had begun to fray. I reached for the Scope of the True Meridian, steadying my hands as the caffeine cleared the last of the sleep from my eyes.

The Scope is no mere telescope; as I adjusted the brass dials, the Shreveport swamp vanished, replaced by the shimmering web of the multiverse. I scanned the infinite threads, watching the old Thule Empire influence wash away like ink in the rain, replaced by the Holy Office of the Eternal Mist. I am resetting the foundations, ensuring that Morgorth’s new family of Shadowborn takes their rightful place, effectively erasing the Iron Duke lineage from this new reality.

Looking through the Scope toward the MoZ (Monstary of Zimrala), I see the stone walls glowing with a rhythmic, azure pulse. The Scope filters out the "static" of the shifting timelines, showing the Monsertary as a fixed point of absolute reality across all dimensions. As I realign the stars of the Leo Galaxy, the borders of the Monsterary are being reinforced, shielding Ken's sacred halls from the temporal wake of my reset.

In this Shreveport cabin, surrounded by the echoes of the swamp, the multiverse is being reshaped one sunrise at a time. The timelines are resetting, the mist is rising, and the story continues as I decree it.

Artifact Rundown: The Scope of the True Meridian

Game System: Monsters! Monsters! (All rolls use D6s)

The Scope of the True Meridian is a cosmic scanning device that allows a Chronomancer to peer into the many-worlds of the multiverse.

  • Multiversal Scan: By spending 5 WIZ (Wizardry) points, the user can scan alternate timelines of the current location. This reveals "What Might Have Been" or "What Is Yet To Be." In game terms, the GM must describe one significant difference in an alternate version of the current room or land.

  • Targeted Reset: The user can focus the Scope on a specific entity or bloodline (like the Iron Duke lineage). This requires a Level 3 Saving Throw on Luck. Success allows the Chronomancer to "blur" that target out of the current timeline for 1D6 turns.

  • The Fixed Point: When focused on a protected site like the MoZ, the Scope acts as a beacon. Any allies within sight of the user cannot be affected by magical displacement, teleportation, or temporal banishment.

  • The Chronomancer's Burden: Scanning the multiverse is taxing on the mortal mind. Every minute of use requires a 1D6 roll. On a roll of 1, the user suffers "Chronal Vertigo" and is stunned for one round as they see too many versions of themselves at once.
