The Leo Galaxy Sector Atlas Year of the Snake Day 24: The Foundry of the Cure

Blog Post #7: The Foundry of the Cure

Title: Gideon Thorne & The Crystol-Tech Arms: Forging the Antibodies of God

Date: January 1, 2026

By: Captain Hedges

The Universe is Sick. Gideon Thorne Builds the Cure.

The Leo Galaxy is the living body of Osgood, the Divine Creator. The so-called "Gods" are a cancerous infection, and every mortal race—from every multiverse connection, until infinity and beyond—is the vital Life Blood flowing through his cosmic veins.

The Leonnie are the divine antibodies, but the struggle for existence is fought on every front by the life blood itself. Today, we delve into the armory of that fight: Crystol-Tech Arms, and the master builder who crafts them.

Meet Gideon "The Foundry" Thorne

Gideon Thorne is an Interstellar Engineer with high-level Technomancer skills. He is a Master Builder whose mind bridges cosmic physics and battlefield grit. He doesn't just make guns; he architects the very means by which the Life Blood defends itself. He understands that a gun isn’t just a tool, but a surgical instrument for the multiverse.

Gideon Thorne’s Open D6 Stats:

  • AGILITY: 3D (Steady hands for crystal alignment)

  • KNOWLEDGE: 5D (Astrophysics, Multiverse Geography, God-Anatomy)

  • MECHANICAL: 5D+2 (Starship Engineering, Foundry Operations)

  • PERCEPTION: 4D (Sniffing out "Cancer" resonance)

  • STRENGTH: 3D (Years of hauling Aether-Steel)

  • TECHNICAL: 6D (The core of his power: Weaponsmithing, Technomancy)

  • Special Skills: * Technomancy (8D): He can "talk" to machines and tune Moon Crystals with a touch. He can repair any Crystol-Tech item in half the usual time.

    • God-Anatomy (6D): He knows exactly where to aim the "Scalpel" for maximum damage to a corrupted Olympian or Old One.

Foundry Prime: The Gut of the Lion

Thorne operates from Foundry Prime, a colossal, mobile manufacturing complex hidden within the Leo Galaxy.

  • Location: Situated precisely within the Lion's Abdomen (The Gut), in the Lumina-7 System (The Gastric Nexus).

  • The Environment: This region is a digestive vortex of ionized gas. The roiling storms and electromagnetic interference make Foundry Prime invisible to long-range scans.

  • The Power: The station is anchored to a stable proto-star core, which Thorne uses to power his advanced Technomancy and stabilize the Moon Crystals.

The Armory: Crystol-Tech D6 Stats

Every weapon forged by Thorne features a Neural-Resonance Link. This interface keys the weapon to the user’s essence; it requires a Technical or Wizardry roll of 10 to sync. The weapon will only fire if the user’s resonance matches the "Life Blood." These weapons never need reloading as long as the user remains within a stable cosmic connection to the Leo Galaxy.

The Interstellar Series (Sleek & Modern)

  • The "Stellar Scalpel" Sniper Rifle: A long-range, high-density plasma rifle built from aerospace-grade Aether-Steel.

    • Damage: 6D6 (High-Intensity Cauterization).

    • Special: Zero-Drop Trajectory. Ignore all range penalties at Medium range and reduce Long Range penalties by half.

  • The Thorne "Lumina" Carbine: The standard-issue surgical plasma carbine.

    • Damage: 4D6+2 (Surgical Burn).

    • Special: The Cauterize Effect. On a "Wild Die" 6, the plasma bolt inflicts an additional 1D6 of lingering heat damage.

The Legacy Series (The Frankenstein Fusion)

Found on the "Heritage Wall" of Foundry Prime, these weapons use wood, brass, and raw crystal shards.

  • The "Old Blood" Crystol-Musket: Featuring a heavy dark-wood stock and reclaimed brass fittings. Instead of a barrel, it has three Aether-Steel claws holding a jagged Moon Crystal.

    • Damage: 5D6.

    • Special: The Hum-Snap. Slower to cycle but creates a Knockback that pushes a Shadow Demon back 3 meters.

  • The "Aether-Shard" Blunderbuss: A flared brass barrel packed with crushed crystal fragments.

    • Damage: 6D6 at Point-Blank (within 5 meters), dropping to 3D6 at 15 meters.

    • Special: The Shatter-Spread. Fires a cloud of glowing, cauterizing "dust."

  • The "Resonance" Pistol: A pocket masterwork. Styled like an antique flintlock, the "cock" is a weighted striker that hits a small crystal cell.

    • Damage: 3D6+2.

    • The "Sting": A high-pitched discharge that echoes with the pulse of the Leo Galaxy.

Heavy Surgery: Special Ordinance

  • The Aether-Lance (The God-Killer): A 2-meter staff of Aether-Steel with a hyper-stabilized Moon Crystal at the tip.

    • Damage: STR+3D6 Melee / 5D6 Focused Beam.

    • Special: The Piercing Pulse. Vibrates at the frequency of corruption, ignoring 2D of armor.

  • Nova-Cell Grenades: Fist-sized crystal clusters encased in a brass shell.

    • Damage: 6D6 in a 5-meter radius.

    • Special: The Pure Light. Destructive only to the "Cancer." Deals 0 damage to "Healthy" Life Blood resonance.

  • The Meridian Bracer: A gauntlet projecting a Hard-Light Barrier.

    • Bonus: +3D to Defense rolls against energy-based attacks.

Thorne’s Oath

"I don't build toys for soldiers. I build immune responses for the universe. If you're carrying a Thorne rifle, you aren't just a combatant—you're the cure."*
